Dr. Paul E. Roa is a double board certified and fellowship trained spine specialist. He is board-certified with the American Board of Pain Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a fellowship trained in interventional pain management. He earned his medical degree from the Universidad Libre, Cali, Colombia, and did his PM&R residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY. He is a member of the American Board of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Pain Medicine Ultrasonography and The American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Dr. Roa specializes in pain medicine and intervention therapies such as epidural and facet joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, Sympathetic nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulators, intradiscal electro thermal therapy, joint/bursa injections, nerve blocks, interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound and EMG/NCV tests. Dr. Roa has an interest in regenerative injection therapies this includes autologous stem cell from Bone Marrow or adipose tissue and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). His personal interests are friendship and family, he loves music, dancing, photography, and outdoor activities. He is fluent in Spanish.
